There are three locations in the city that offer a Tsuchi Ningyo decorating experience. Use your favorite colors to create your very own clay doll. Botan PepperBotan Pepper (Botan Kosho in Japanese) is a local vegetable variety first propagated in Nakano City. With its green color and round shape, a Botan Pepper looks quite akin to a Green Pepper, and the flavor is relatively similar, but both spicier and more sweet. It is cut into thin pieces and mixed with other summer vegetables and miso to create the local dish known as “Yatara”.The Town of RosesAlso known as “Rose Park”, Ippongi Park in Nakano is home to 3,000 roses of over 850 varieties.
